Friends and Family,
Thank you for all of your prayers, encouragement, and support. Here is the latest news on Cami. Cami is still in her medically induced coma, but she is very slowly starting to wake up. SHe was opened her eyes and coughed a little, but she still isn't able to respond to commands at this time. We do not know how long this waking up process will take, only that it is different for every person and could take up to three days from the time she was taken off her medication (yesterday around 8:00 am). We just spoke to Dr. Pritz and he seemed to indicate that this is completely normal and that we shouldn't worry about this, but rather be a little encouraged with her progress at this point considering how much medication she had in her body. She has not had any increase in the pressure in her brain and the blood clot still appears to be the same size which are also both positives.
In the meantime, Cami has developed a fever that the nurses have been working hard to keep down and they are having to continually adjust medication to keep her blood pressure down during the waking up process. Just a few things to remember in your prayers.
We continue to be encouraged by all the comments, emails, and gestures from all of you and want you to know you have helped make a difficult waiting period a little more manageable. I have also had several people ask permission to forward emails or Cami's blog address on to other friends/ family to ask for additional prayer. By all means forward both of these things to anyone you wish, the more people that know our situation and are praying for us the better.
Thanks again for your support, I'll post more when I learn more.
Seth

Praying praying praying for you all. Today this verse seems so appropriate: Isaiah 26:3-4 "You will keep in perfect peace him whose mind is steadfast, because he trusts in you. Trust in the Lord forever, for the Lord, the Lord is the Rock eternal." That is what I'm praying for all of you waiting for Cami to wake up. For dear Cami, Psalm 3:3 I am claiming for you "But thou, O Lord, are a shield for me; my glory and the lifter of my head." If you need to be encouraged, watch the Brooklyn Tab. choir sing "Thou O Lord" on youtube. It is amazing and a wonderful promise to claim. (Allecia Steckel-BSF leader with Sherry)
ReplyDeleteMany prayers and love!

Continuing to pray for all of you during this difficult waiting period. Praying for Cami's fever to go down and that she wakes up in God's perfect timing with little agitation and few side effects. Thanks for all the updates. We check on Cami every morning.

Have you ever been around people that lift you up, that are not perfect but have more faith than you can imagine and live it everyday? Thats Cami & Seth. Your blogs allow us to share in the highs and lows. Thank you for taking the time to include us on this journey. Our pastor read from Isaiah 55:8-10 on Sunday and it made me think of Cami, "For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways. As the Heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts" In Gods time.

ReplyDeleteHi Zac and Brown Family,
ReplyDeleteThank you for the posts and updates. We continue to include you all everytime we pray and appreciate specific things to pray for. I know God must hear your names so many times a day! Perhaps it will work out like the bible story of the neighbor who keeps knocking, so finally the man gives them what they want just to get them to go away :o) We are eagerly waiting with you to see what wonderful things God does. He is the best at surprises and wonders.

Praying constantly! I have to share one of my favorite sayings that I got off of a Hallmark card years ago...... Don't tell God about your mountain ---- Tell the mountain about your God! Thanks for the updates.
