Good morning and happy Christmas Eve's Eve. I am sitting with Cami and her parents in her room at the ICU. Cami just ate a little cream-of-wheat and some "thick" apple juice. She is taking small steps but making good progress in her recovery. She is scheduled for some more physical therapy later on today and an order was put in to move her to a regular monitoring room. She still has some anxiety and paranoia from her medication, but she is starting to feel a little better (even if she doesn't realize it).
Cami says, "Hi to everyone and thank you for all of your prayers. I really treasure them more than I can express with words. I am indebted to all of you."
Cami asked for prayer for two specific things this morning:
1. That she would start to feel like she is getting better. She knows that she is getting better because we are telling her, but she says she can't really tell yet because she still feels so crummy.
2. She would like everyone to pray that her anxiety would start to go away.
Thanks again for all of your prayers, I will update things later on if we find out anything else.
Seth
Thank you for the update. Will specifically pray as Cami has asked. Please tell her she is not indebted to any of us as it is our priviledge to take her to our Lord. We are so blessed by Jesus to do this for her. In love, Mari Howard
ReplyDeletePraise the Lord..this blog has been a God send for the family up here in North Manchester & Warsaw. I'm keeping Joyce, Dave & Beth updated through this blog. (Amy & Amanda are techy savy unlike their mom so they are already in the loop) These specific prayer requests are being appreciated as we all continue to be prayer warriors for you guys!!!! God is Good!!

ReplyDeleteLuke 12:7 Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Do not fear.
ReplyDeleteMatthew 10:29 Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground outside your Father's care.
Hoping you can rest assured that God is watching you. He will not let you fall. I am praying this prayer for you in hopes your anxiety eases.
Love,
Amanda and Justin Angrick

I have been praising God for Cami's progress thus far, and I will pray she start to "feel" this progress as well. I will also pray for her anxiety--God to give her peace and comfort and silence any anxious thoughts.
ReplyDeleteI am also continuing to pray for you, Walt, and Sherry as you travel this journey with her.
Christi Morton--I'm in Sherry's BSF group.
Phil.4:6-8 Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and petition WITH THANKSGIVING present your requests to God. Then the peace which transcends all understanding will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
ReplyDeletePraying that in the midst of this valley, God will shine a light for Cami to see the works of His hand and allow the thanksgiving to arise uninhibited from her heart. Love you sooo much Cami! God's peace to you!
