We have had several more answers to prayer today. Today Cami saw her speech therapist for her evaluation and did great. She was actually told that she wouldn't need any additional speech therapy after she is released from the hospital. A little while after that her physical therapist came for her PT evaluation and the results were just as good. She was able to get up and walk around (something she couldn't do after 2 full weeks last time) and her therapist told her she probably wouldn't even need any outpatient therapy.
This is just such a blessing to see how well Cami is doing after the surgery. After just 24 hours she already looks, feels, and acts better than she did after several weeks after her December surgery. Even when she first woke up Cami could tell a huge difference. She told me that her first thought was "Thank you Jesus, I'm not in a coma!!" We know that a huge part of this is a direct result of the amount of prayers we received. I just can't even to begin to explain how much better she is doing in comparison to the last surgery. We praise and thank God for just the work he has done and continues to do. I'll continue to let you guys know how Cami is doing.
Thanks for your continued prayers and support, they are definitely being felt here.
Seth

ReplyDeleteI read your update last night and prayfully went to God in thankfulness. At 1:30 a.m. I was up (with the dog) and couldn't stop singing "I am the Lord of the Dance" it just expressed my joy in our Lord for His amazing results. Today my heart is filled with excitement as our Lord continues to show His mighty power. I know all of you are rejoicing and so are the rest of God's kingdom. How blessed are we to be priviledge in this healing. Will continue in prayer and praise. In love, Mari Howard

Heard another great report about you from Collin at rehearsal tonight! We are so thrilled for you two and the wonderful results God has given to your surgery. Heard you were walking all around the ward and chatting and thinking creatively. We're all looking forward to having you back on team soon!! By the way, when you're feeling rested and ready for a get-away, Steve and I are sure that you should take a nice long vacation when your folks are also going to be out of town, and let Granger come to visit us - we love your pup! She was a delightful visitor and a sweet snuggler, too. The students also enjoyed meeting her, although when she and Steve took a nap together Monday afternoon, we did hear some snoring. My little 1st grader asked, "Is that the dog?" and I had to tell let her in on the fact that it was 'Mr. Hassfurder'. Too funny! Granger is a welcome visitor anytime! We'll keep up the prayers and we're so happy for all the answers you've already received. Marta and Steve
